What is it
Neutrophils are the most numerous white blood cells and are the first responders to bacterial infection. They are measured both as percentage of total WBC and absolute count.
Why it's measured
Neutrophil count has been used in evaluating bacterial infection, inflammation, and certain medications in research and clinical practice.

Elevated
